About
I studied Medicine at Aberdeen University, Scotland and graduated MB ChB in 2003. My Basic Surgical training was also based in Scotland between Aberdeen and Dumfries. I further trained in The Royal Sick Kids in Edinburgh for a year and commenced Higher Surgical Training in South-East England in 2009.This period of training rotated through; St Georges Hospital (London), The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (Brighton), a Fellowship at Starship Children’s Health (Auckland), Southampton Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (London).I was initially awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007 and subsequently a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (Paediatric) in 2014.I completed my training and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training in Specialist Paediatric Surgery by the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom in 2016. I am currently vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist Paediatric Surgeon.
