Satyen qualified as a doctor in the UK. After extensive overseas travel, he subsequently moved to New Zealand where he completed his general orthopaedic training, working at numerous centres around the country.
He has since completed subspecialty fellowships in hip and knee arthroplasty (Melbourne Orthopaedic Group, Australia) where he learnt emerging techniques in this field. He also did a sports fellowship at the renowned Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic (London, Canada) and has a particular interest in the management of knee osteoarthritis in the young adult and soft-tissue knee reconstruction.
He started a Consultant public appointment at Waikato Hospital in 2019 and also does private clinics in Cambridge, Te Awamutu and Hamilton.
Satyen welcomes referrals from General Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Sports physicians and the wider healthcare workforce.
